you have the wrong build of FFMPEG.EXE in the portable zip distribution... not checked the installer yet... You have a 64bit edition of FFMPEG.EXE included which will NEVER RUN under a 32bit edition of windows. The main executable runs happily under 32bit Vista SP2+ and will likely operate under 32bit XP SP3 or even Windows 2000 just need a compatible 32bit build FFMPEG.EXE to do all the grunt work for you. In addition you need one more profile to extract the audio stream AS IS no re-encoding that will produce the best possible quality at the smallest possible file size. ANY re-encoding will either reduce audio detail (quality) or increase audio track size e.g. lossy codec can be made to reduce file size but will in every circumstance lose quality and FLAC might maintain detail level but it will produce a larger file with probably less features like no 5.1 DTS... ALso as usual save location should NOT be the users desktop but should be a subfolder of the users MUSIC folder where all audio files should be. I have replaced your 64bit FFMPEG.EXE with your version 4.3 32bit FFMPEG.EXE and not it works under 32 bit windows Vista like it should apart from the omissions and bugs mentioned above. Spotted another programming choice error, when selecting the output destination FOLDER you have chosen to use a FILE selection dialog and cut it down so it sort of produces the desired effect rather than use the official folder selection dialog with the added create new folder button. Also with the audio presets settings you should add bit width for at least 16bit, 24bit, 32bit, and I think a floating point option of either 32 or 64bit I could use always free XMedia re-code to do what this does and add some basic trimming features too.
