How to save my entries?
  • Entries are automatically saved when you change the text area.
How to backup my entries?
  1. Log into Desktop Diary using your credentials.
  2. Use the menu on the top (Backup - Export Backup File).
  3. Save the jdb file into your thumb drive or anything safe.
How to import my entries from backup?
  1. Log into Desktop Diary using your credentials or create a new account.
  2. Use the menu on the top (Backup - Import Backup File).
  3. Select the jdb backup file and click open.
How to change my password?
  1. Log into Desktop Diary using your credentials.
  2. Use the menu on the top (Account - Change Password).
How to change default font settings?
  1. Log into Desktop Diary using your credentials.
  2. Use the menu on the top (Customize - Change Font).
What is the folder location of the stored data?
  • User data is stored on:
    C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\VOVSOFT\Desktop Diary
    or
    C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\VOVSOFT\Daily Journal
Is Desktop Diary a portable software?
  • No. Desktop Diary must be installed using the setup file. But you can always migrate your entries using export and import backup files.
